The Resident Season 2 episode 16 on FOX will continue its airing on Monday, March 4, at 8:00 p.m. Titled Adverse Events, the episode will complete the cliffhanger from episode 15 with the surgeons clamping down on Quovadis.

A patient on The Resident Season 2 episode 16 will almost lose his life because of his malfunctioning medical device. This leads the surgeons to work together and get Quovadis to shut down.

Mina (played by Shaunette Renée Wilson) and Devon (played by Manish Dayal) will look for more evidence against the company as more patients get hurt or die. Bell (played by Bruce Greenwood), AJ (played by Malcolm Jamal-Warner) and Conrad (played by Matt Czurchry), on the other hand, will try to save another patient's life together, as per the episode synopsis.

Photos from The Resident Season 2 episode 16 via Showbiz Junkies show Mina and Devon talking to Dr. Abe Benedict (played by Mike Pniewski). But viewers may recall that AJ's mentor is financially gaining from this company, so he's not a likely ally in putting an end to Quovadis' evil ways.

The teaser to The Resident Season 2 episode 16 shows Devon becoming emotionally invested in this case against Quovadis with so many lives at stake. However, it won't be so easy to topple a multi-million company.

But is it almost the end of the line for this medical giant before someone from Chastain Park Memorial Hospital ruins their career? "The fate of QuoVadis is shortly to be revealed, and that will be taken care of before the end of this season," according to show co-creator Amy Holden Jones via TV Line.

Jones also hinted that the unresolved storyline involving Julian (played by Jenna Dewan) would finally reach its conclusion. Will it help Devon clear his name knowing that Quovadis framed him for the disappearance of Julian?

Meanwhile, The Resident Season 2 has been off schedule for two weeks, thus leaving fans to wait longer to get some answers from last episode's cliffhanger. The show is taking a break to give way to The Masked Singer as the reality competition series is on its way to complete its semi-final rounds.

When it returns, however, The Resident will be paired with 9-1-1, which begins the next half of its Season 2 run. FOX has not renewed The Resident for season 3 as of press time, but its ratings have been slightly picking up compared to the first season.
