Someone's going to croak and choke up on New Amsterdam season 1 episode 15. But viewers will have to wait some more to find out who it will be since the NBC medical drama series won't be airing new episodes until Tuesday, March 5, at 10:00 p.m.

In the teaser for New Amsterdam season 1 episode 15, Max (played by Ryan Eggold)  is shown telling his wife that his wife that he's experiencing multiple panic attacks. Max will also struggle while undergoing chemotherapy with another cancer patient because of what they talked about during their treatment sessions.

It seems Max will have some more realizations about this life and death situation. Will he break down because of this though? 

Since confirming his cancer diagnosis, Max has been trying very hard to keep it all together on New Amsterdam. As the brilliant medical director, Max isn't one to show his weakness to his staff and patients. 

But as per the episode synopsis, it's not just Max who will struggle on New Amsterdam season 1 episode 15. Iggy (played by Tyler Labine) will also have some realizations about his daughter, Sameera, while Reynolds (played by Jocko Sims) will also face a few challenges in the most personal way regarding a patient's family. 

No doubt, New Amsterdam season 1 episode 15 is going to be another emotional ride for the viewers. But who among these main characters will have the hardest time facing the truth? 

Meanwhile, following a two-week hiatus, NBC has good news to bear for fans of the series. The network confirmed that New Amsterdam will return for season 2, as per Variety. With an average rating of 11.9 million per episode, the series is standing on solid ground with the network thus the renewal came as no surprise. 

This also means that Dr. Max Goodwin isn't going away anytime soon, despite his cancer diagnosis in New Amsterdam. Viewers can breathe a sigh of relief knowing that the character won't have a tragic end yet because Eggold and the rest of the cast are still going to be back for the second season. 

New Amsterdam is based on the book, Twelve Patients: Life and Death at Bellevue Hospital, written by Dr. Eric Manheimer. David Schulner has adapted the story for television, which also stars Freema Agyeman, Janet Montgomery and Anupam Kher.
