The long wait is … well, not over for SEAL Team fans. And it's gonna be much longer than expected.
CBS announced on Wednesday that SEAL Team would be officially back for more missions on March 20 which is seven weeks away from the last episode, "Time To Shine," that has been aired on January 23. This announcement made on Twitter disappointed many of the show’s fans simply because it’s a week later than it was supposed to air on CBS.
After the premiere of the current season’s thirteenth episode, the fans and followers are already eager to know when the TV series will come back. And just the day after, the writers of the show responded that SEAL Team would be back on March 13.
The six-week wait is already long enough for the fans considering that Season 2 started on October 3, 2018. And not to mention that the show also had numerous two-week intervals in between November and December. But even so, this created a hype between the fans and the show not until the recent announcement that the show’s return date will be pushed back. Accordingly, fans are now becoming impatient.
As per Cartermatt, CBS has their reasons why Episode 14 is pushed back. But while it’s not disclosed publicly, they believe that the newest additions of shows and series on the network are the reasons behind. Nevertheless, there’s nothing left for the fans to do but to wait.
SEAL Team is a military drama series that shows the lives of the elite Navy S.E.A.L.s. It was first aired in 2017 which caught the eyes of many. And the show became very successful in its first season. The pilot episode had approximately 9 million viewers. However, the number of viewers gradually decreased as the story of the show progressed. The numbers were down to 6 million as the season finale of the first installment was aired.
Surprisingly, the first episode of the second season had only 5 million viewers, which is almost half of the total number of viewers from the pilot episode. Also, TV Series Finale also shared that the rating of the second season was down by 17 percent. So, many are now asking if SEAL Team will still be renewed for Season 3.
Although there is still no confirmation about the matter, die-hard fans of the show are hopeful for a third installment. But for others, it’s quite too early to speculate since there are still nine more episodes left for Season 2.
