Following a hiatus of more than three months,9-1-1will be back on FOX to finish the second half of season 2 beginning Monday, March 18, at 9:00 p.m. A shocking scene will unfold as teasers show Chim (played by Kenneth Choi) getting stabbed and the rest of the first responders deal with a Sharknado-inspired episode.
The emergency scenarios on this show may be unbelievable for some viewers. For instance, the teaser for 9-1-1 season 2 episode 11 shows a man asking for help because his arm is up inside the shark's jaw in the middle of the freeway.
According to the episode synopsis, a tanker for a tiger shark crashes on the freeway on 9-1-1 season 2 episode 11, hence the incredible storyline. However, it's scenes like this that makes the show more exciting to watch apart from the drama between the characters and their personal lives.
Speaking of the characters' personal lives, before 9-1-1 took a break last November, viewers found out that Doug (played by Brian Hallisay) has been stalking Chim to get to his ex-wife Maddie (played by Jennifer Love Hewitt). Pretending to be a nice stranger, Doug plays up Chim who hasn't realized that he's actually becoming friends with a dangerous man.
On the show's return, Maddie will make it clear on 9-1-1 season 2 episode 11 that her marriage to Doug is truly over. This will cause her ex-husband to get closer to Chim, perhaps in an attempt to hurt the new man his ex-wife likes.
Is Doug the guy who will stab Chim based on this short clip? Will the fan favorite character survive this attack?
On a lighter note, the new episode back will have Bobby (played by Peter Krause) finally meeting the parents of Athena (played by Angela Bassett). Things are really getting pretty serious with this couple just as they have publicly outed their relationship at work. Beverly Todd and Henry O. Sanders guest stars as Beatrice and Samuel, Athena's parents.
Meanwhile, fans of 9-1-1 still keep wondering if Connie Britton would consider coming back to the show after her exit in the first season. She was the central character then but had to leave the series to work on Dirty John.
Speaking with The Wrap, Britton said that there's always a possibility for her to come back since it's hard for her to say no to show creator Ryan Murphy. "I adore him and I adore working with and he always puts together such a great group of people," Britton said. "So, we shall see..."
