Riverdale season 3 shut down production in the wake of Luke Perry's untimely death last Monday, March 4. But the actor, who played Fred Andrews on the show, will still be seen in several episodes since he was actively filming before this unfortunate incident.

According to USA TodayRiverdale season 3 has 22 episodes in its line-up. Of these episodes, 13 have already aired while episode 14 will be on TV on Wednesday, March 6, at 8:00 p.m.

Though not part of the main cast, Perry still has more scenes coming up on Riverdale season 3, including in episode 14. It's unclear, however, how far along he has worked on the show but he obviously didn't finish filming the rest of season 3.

According to Seventeen, Riverdale writers may likely write off Perry's character for the remainder of the season. But right now, as everyone on the set is still reflecting on what happened, it's still too early come up with a possible resolution to Fred being gone for good on the show.

The cast of Riverdale is obviously in mourning over losing their co-star. Some of them expressed their sadness over the actor's death and paid tributes to him on social media, according to Page Six.

But KJ Apa, who played Perry's son, has yet to publicly speak up as he may still be processing his TV dad's death. Apa and Perry's scenes on Riverdale have been believable from the very beginning. Their relationship as father and son appeared authentic on the screen that it was one of the positive reasons why fans love the series.

Meanwhile, Riverdale season 3 episode 14 will have Betty (played by Lili Reinhart) taking a strong stand against The Farm after she learns that the cult is interested in someone close to her, as per the episode synopsisHiram (played by Mark Consuelos), on the other hand, will continue to work with Gladys (played by Gina Gershon) in controlling his daughter Veronica (Camila Mendes) but the latter is too rebellious to be handled.

As Veronica tries to turn the tables on her father and Gladys, Jughead (played by Cole Sprouse) will also struggle to temper the Serpents. Archie (played by Apa), on the other hand, will meet a runaway at the gym who will spark his curiosity and concern.

Riverdale season 3 will be airing new episodes every Wednesday this March. The CW and Warner Bros are expected to announce their plans for the show after Perry's passing in the coming days.
