The conflict on Shadowhunters season 3 is heating up on Freeform and episode 13 is going to build up the drama even more. Luke (played by Isaiah Mustafa) will be going after Jonathan (played by Luke Baines) in this upcoming episode, especially after what happened in episode 12.

Shadowhunters season 3 episode 13, which will air on Monday, March 11, is called Beati Ballicosi. This phrase means "Blessed are the warriors," which is the battle cry of Luke's wolf organization. It is what they say before they expect to fight in an epic encounter.

Following the events of Shadowhunters season 3 episode 12, which aired last March 4 on Freeform, it's easy to deduce what kind of battle Luke is expecting and with whom. After he and his friends, Jace (played Dominic Sherwood) and Alec (played by Matthew Daddario), rescued Clary (played by Katherine McNamara), the group have set their sights on finding the evil Jonathan, as per the episode synopsis

Meanwhile, Jace is relieved to find out that Clary is alive. The two have made the most of their reunion in Paris in the last episode. But what will this mean for Clary's bond with her evil brother now that Jace, Luke and Alec hatch plans to go after him?

The teaser hints that the conflict in this relationship will not be easily quashed. When Jace tells Clary how much he loves her, he emphasized that it's just going to have to be him and Clary in the relationship. But Clary replies, "It's never going to be just you and me. It's Jonathan too."

Meanwhile, Baines recently talked with Digital Spy about taking over the role of Jonathan in Shadowhunters season 3. Will Tudor played the role in the previous seasons, but since the character's rebirth, Baines has been cast in the role.

Baines said that he felt excited and terrified at the same time because the show has a solid fanbase. He's thrilled that someone is surely going to watch the Shadowhunters week after week, but he's also pressured about not letting the fans down if he doesn't portray this part right.

He also commended Tudor for his portrayal of Jonathan in the earlier seasons. He said he's building on a character that someone else has done, but he's also trying to add his take and interpretation into Jonathan.

"I just hope by the end of the series they'll be able to understand him better," the actor said. "Just have maybe a little more insight into why he is the way he is."

Sadly, however, Shadowhunters season 3 is the show's final run as Freeform has announced the series cancellation early this year.
