Jennifer Lopez shocked the world when she finally said yes to long time beau Alexander Rodriguez. The singer-turned-actress shared some stunning photos of the proposal last week.

According to USA Today, the American singer took to Instagram to commemorate the day of her engagement with the former professional baseball player. "3.9.19," she posted on the social media site.

Jennifer Lopez gave her fans a look-see from when Alex Rodriguez popped the romantic question through a set of photos. In the first one, the Second Act actress looks down as his soon to be husband opens the ring box on one knee. In the next photo, she places her right hand over her mouth as he puts the giant diamond on her finger.

The last two images from Lopez's Instagram post show the engaged couple kissing as they both celebrate the romantic moment. The two reportedly unveiled their engagement also on the social media site Saturday.

On his own Instagram account, Alex Rodriguez captions a photo of the ring, "She said yes." Jennifer Lopez, on the other hand, shared the same photo, with eight heart emojis as her caption.

Lopez said, via the photo-sharing site, that whenever she thinks she had Rodriguez "pegged," he would always find a way to surprise her "in the most wonderful ways." She further says how blessed she is for finding him in this very moment of her life.

Rodriguez replies, "We are meant to be." He then tells her how much she means to him and no amount of words can describe it.

It is worth noting that Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez sparked engagement rumors back in October last year. It was right after the two were seen sporting a gigantic diamond ring during the World Series.

Rodriguez also teased the possibility of proposing to Lopez in an interview on "The Tonight Show." During the show's episode back in May, he said that if a proposal is going to happen, the host Jimmy Fallon would be the first to know.

In a report from Bazaar, Jennifer Lopez's diamond ring is estimated to be 20 carats and should worth around $4.5 million.

Apparently, this will be Lopez's fourth walk down the aisle. She previously tied the knot with Ojani Noa back in 1997. After that, she exchanged "I do's" with former dancer Chris Judd in 2001. And her most recent one was back in 2004 with March Anthony whom she shares 11-year-old twins, Emme Maribel and Maximillian "Max" David.
