Filming is currently underway for To All the Boys I've Loved Before 2. While no release date has been set yet, more details about the sequel have already been revealed and it suggests that Lara Jean (Lana Condor) and Peter's (Noah Centineo) relationship will hit rock bottom due to the arrival of a new character.

The film version of To All The Boys I've Loved Before 2 will stay faithful to the original novel written by Jenny Han. Hence, it is believed that a new character is about to be introduced to the fans, and the charming man will definitely be shaking up Lara Jean and Peter's relationship.

The character, named John Ambrose McClaren, is Lara Jean's former crush and apparently, one of her love letter recipients. Not much has been said about the new character other than the latter met him in Model UN.

"There's going to be a major new love interest," Lana Condor said in an interview with ELLE.com. "The first one was with Josh (Israel Broussard) and Peter, but in the second movie it's going to be a major new character that's going to challenge Peter quite a bit and fight over me, which is not a bad thing," she added.

The 21-year-old actress also hinted that a new actor might play John Ambrose McClaren in the forthcoming To All the Boys I've Loved Before 2. It can be recalled that the role was briefly portrayed by actor Jordan Burchett in the first installment's mid-credits cameo.

Aside from John Ambrose McClaren's arrival, Peter continued close relationship with his ex-girlfriend Gen (Emilija Baranac) also contribute to the problem. Apparently, he still choose to spend time with her despite learning she is the one who put up their infamous hot tub make-out tape on the internet.

Fans will also meet Stormy in To All the Boys I've Loved Before 2. She is an elderly woman with a feisty temper, whom Lara Jean meets at the Belleview retirement home. She usually gives the latter relationship advice.

To All the Boys I've Loved Before 2 will, once again, be written by screenwriter Sofia Alvarez based on the original novel by Jenny Han. Overbrook Entertainment and Ace Entertainment produce alongside Awesomeness. Dougie Cash and Matt Kaplan, on the other hand, serve as producers.
