There were a couple of personalities in attendance at the AT&T Stadium in Dallas last weekend to witness the Errol Spence Jr. vs. Mikey Garcia tiff. They were boxing icons Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Manny Pacquiao. While both have been known to attend select bouts, seeing the two future boxing hall of Famers raises a lot of questions.

Both Mayweather and Pacquiao witnessed how Spence dominated Garcia. But what were both really doing in the stadium? Were they stealing the thunder of Spence Jr.?

There are a couple of scenarios to consider. The first one is obvious and this has to do with Manny Pacquiao who is looking for an opponent. As mentioned in a previous post, there is a possibility that the Filipino boxing icon will face the undefeated American pug next. Much of that was covered in a different post.

The other scenario would be Mayweather possibly considering Spence as an opponent – assuming he has had enough of the mixed martial artists he has been facing as of late. "Money" will be a driving factor and everyone knows how the Flamboyant One can easily decide to put on the boxing gloves and get into a real fight if he chooses to do so.

Finally, there is the last scene which is a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao rematch. It is the clash that would make the most sense and something that will easily garner interest. The eight-time division champion has left the door open for a rematch with Mayweather even though the chances of seeing that have been repeatedly shot down by the retired boxer’s camp, Manila Bulletin Sports said.

It could be any of the three scenarios although the last one is what most are ranting about as we speak. Sean Gibbons mentioned that a Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight is what most want to see and that he will be sitting down with Al Haymon soon and that something could happen this week.

Realistically, a Pacquiao-Spence fight looms as the most plausible one to happen. Spence is ready and Pacquiao seems to have acknowledged all that by being at the AT&T Stadium. Though it has yet to be reported, negotiations between the two camps are possibly underway.

As for Mayweather, he is likely taking his time to see what his next step would be. He has been making big money fighting little-know mixed martial artists and this is likely what he will be into next.

And should a Pacquiao vs. Spence fight happen, it won’t come as a surprise if Mayweather shows up again and tease a rematch with the Pac-Man – win or lose.
