It's going to be another heartbreaking week on This Is Us season 3 episode 17. Airing next Tuesday, March 26, at 9:00 p.m. on NBC, the show will take viewers to the different timelines of the relationship between Randall (played by Sterling K. Brown) and Beth (played by Susan Kelechi Watson.

Previously on This Is Us season 3 episode 16, which aired last March 19, Randall and Beth had the biggest and most emotional fight of their relationship. He told her demeaning and hurtful stuff he could never take back anymore and Beth also wouldn't back down from the argument about who should give way and compromise.

Is this Pearson couple heading for a separation? Will they patch things up before the third season finale airing the following week?

Brown told Good Housekeeping that this had been the most intense season for Randall and Beth. However, he won't confirm nor deny whether the marriage is headed for a split in This Is Us season 3.

What's clear, however, is that Randall will not be giving up on his new job as a city councilman since his campaign manager, Jae-Won Yoo (played by Tim Jo) will make a comeback on This Is Us. Randall will rely on Jae-Won to help him be the community leader his constituents deserve, and their relationship will deepen as friends as he goes through the personal stuff with Beth.

Meanwhile, This Is Us executive producers Isaac Aptaker and Elizabeth Berger confirmed that episode 17 would be solely about Randall and Beth. Other characters will be present, however, but only to lend some context into the couple's relationship.

"We will see Randall and Beth on their wedding day," Aptaker told Entertainment Weekly. "We're going to see Randall and Beth's engagement and their wedding day, and neither of them goes exactly as you expect for such a loving couple."

In another interview with TV Line, Berger hinted that it's not just their busy schedules and their inability to compromise and give way to the other that's going to be a problem in the marriage. Their money problems will also come to a head and will make their challenges as a couple a lot harder.

Things are going to change this Pearson household, and this will go on for the fourth season. Incidentally, however, NBC has not yet confirmed the show's renewal but given the popularity of This Is Us, getting a fourth season should not come as a surprise.
