Many fans are now thrilled for the up-and-coming return of the popular American crime drama television series. STARZ has not yet released official details about the imminent Power Season 6, which pushed some fans to create their theories and predictions about the next installment. Fortunately, Nigerian-American actor Rotimi, recently, shared some interesting details about what fans should expect in the show's forthcoming sixth season.
Rotimi, who is also known as Olurotimi Akinosho in real life, teased the upcoming face-off of his character, Andre "Dre" Coleman, and James "Ghost" St. Patrick, who is played by Omari Hardwick. A photo of the 30-year-old singer-model and his co-star together while filming for Power Season 6 made rounds online. Rotimi even shared an on-set photo of his and Omari's cast chairs on his official Instagram account, sparking hype among the show's avid followers.
Speculations suggest that Dre and Ghost's rivalry would exacerbate in Power Season 6. It remains unclear how these two main characters would come into blows in the imminent new installment and that is something fans should watch out for. Besides the enmity between Dre and Ghost, reports have it that Ghost and Tommy Egan's (Joseph Sikora) friendship would be the focus of the sixth installment's first few episodes.
Showrunner Courtney Kemp also revealed that Ghost's son, Tariq (Michael Rainey), will be a major threat in Power Season 6. "I've said this to you before, this is not news: Tariq is half Ghost and half Tasha, biologically. And his official godfather is Tommy, and his de facto godfather is Kanan," he told TV Line in an exclusive interview. "What do you think the kid is gonna be?" the series exec went on.
When asked if the series will, soon, come to an end, Courtney said she is not allowed to say something on the network's behalf. She, however, shared that the story is coming to an end. This, then, sparked rumors saying that Power Season 6 could be the show's last and final installment.
Meanwhile, aside from Dre, Ghost, Tariq and Tommy, other characters who are very likely to make a return in Power Season 6 include Kanan (50 Cent) and Angela (Lela Loren). Surprisingly, while most fans thought that Angela is already dead after she was shot, Courtney divulged that she is coming back for another run. However, the showrunner refused to share what Angela would do in the imminent new installment.
The upcoming sixth season is expected to premiere in June or July 2019. Stay tuned to Business Times for the latest Power Season 6 spoilers, predictions, news, and updates!
