Alibaba Cloud has just launched its China Gateway Program that aims to drive Australian businesses into the massive Chinese market. The program is expected to help companies grow their presence in the world's second-largest economy.
The China Gateway Program is expected to capitalize on Alibaba Cloud's technologies that serve various applications such as online payments, digital market, e-commerce, logistics, and other internet-related setups, Which 50 reported.
Participating Australian companies will be allowed to use the Chinese tech giant's products and solutions to improve tasks linked to sales, including marketing and supply chain management. Alibaba Cloud's fast internet is expected to help hasten these processes so Australian firms can serve their Chinese customers better.
"China is a huge market geographically and economically. Through our China Gateway Program, we can assist overseas companies of all sizes and set up their digital operations at the same efficiency level as local Chinese enterprises," Raymond Ma, general manager of Australia and New Zealand at Alibaba Cloud, said.
Ma further explained that the program will help Aussie businesses get a better grip on their Chinese customers' preferences through integrating their services and products to Alibaba's solutions that specifically target China's market.
Head of Engineering at Airwallex, Craig Rees, said the company is glad to have Alibaba Cloud as a partner. Rees noted that the Chinese tech provider's solutions will help Airwallex navigate the Chinese market effectively.
A China Gateway Summit will take place in Melbourne on Thursday following the successful summit in Sydney that Alibaba Cloud initiated earlier this week. The meetings succeed in the release of a White Paper dedicated to helping Australian providers understand China's millions of consumers from a business standpoint.
Late in February, Alibaba Cloud committed to allowing companies around the world to access its cloud computing solutions as part of its "Tech for Change" initiative. According to IT Brief Australia, one of the program's partnerships was made with iamtheCODE, the first African-spearheaded movement that supports female tech education.
Alibaba Cloud's Australian partnership is said to be part of the company's "Tech for Change" initiative as it continues the road to domination in the global market. In November, ZDNet reported that the Chinese retail behemoth has a goal of connecting Chinese consumers with products manufactured by Australia and other countries.
For Alibaba, Australia is a great source of high-quality goods, particularly in sectors such as cosmetics, maternity, food and beverage, and health and nutrition. Jack Ma's company is also expected to boost tourism through its new program for Aussie providers.
