Aside from new cast members, Dailyn Rodriguez and Ben Lobato have been promoted as Queen of the South Season 4 co-showrunners and executive producers. According to Variety, Rodriguez previously served as co-executive producer and was part of the writing staff since Season 2. Alternatively, Lobato was a supervising producer and worked in the writers' room since Season 1. The two replaced Natalie Chaidez.
"After 2 incredible years working with USA Network at the helm of Queen of the South, I'm moving on to develop my own projects full-time with my friends at Fox and Fox 21 Television Studios," Chaidez said. "I will miss the 'QOTS' familia and fans, but I am proud to pass along the baton and champion the growth of co-showrunners Dailyn Rodriguez and Ben Lobato."
USA Network has yet to announce Queen of the South Season 4's release date, but it is expected to be out this year. As the previous seasons were all released in June, it might follow the same timeline.
