Jung Joon Young has finally been arrested by authorities for filming and distributing sex tapes without consent. Apparently, the Korean singer-songwriter admitted to the charges filed against him.

In a report from AllKpop, the artist was seen attending his hearing held at Central District Court Office in Seoul. After at least two hours of non-stop questioning, the prosecuting lawyer deemed the arrest warrant requested by the authorities valid.

In his letter of apology, Jung Joon Young admitted to his crimes. He read this letter in front of the press right before his scheduled hearing.

The singer-songwriter reportedly confessed to filming sex tapes involving women without their consent. Apart from that, the K-pop artist was also guilty of sharing these footages to members of the infamous KakaoTalk chatroom. The latter, in particular, include Big Bang's Seungri and former F.T. Island artist Jonghun.

Jung was transferred to the Jongno Police Station around noon with his tie. He is believed to be held there until the court officially decides, though the request for a warrant of arrest has already been approved.

"I admit to all suspicions," Jung Joon Young reads in his letter of apology. He added that he would not "challenge" all the charges brought by the investigative agencies. As such, he humbly accepts the decision the court will give.

Jung also asked for an apology to the women he victimized. Even more so, he asked for forgiveness to the people who "supported" him.

The South Korean artist is being accused of secretly filming sex videos, all of which show at least 10 victims. Also, he also shared these with eight people in the aforementioned chatroom.

Based on the Korean law, anyone guilty of filming and sharing sex videos without the consent of individuals involved is punishable. The punishment is said to cover at least five years in prison or with a fine of around 30 million won ($26,424), The Jakarta Post reports.

It is worth noting that Jung Joon Young's arrest happened at the same time as three others. Seungri, on the other hand, is also facing an investigation of his own after being found guilty of violating the country's Anti-Prostitution law.

The former Big Bang member allegedly involved himself in prostitution activities in an attempt to please his business partners. At first, the actor and his agency YG Entertainment denied the allegations. The police eventually confirmed the allegations and said that they are neither fake nor fabricated.
