Viewers of Survivor: Edge of Extinction should buckle their seat belts as the forthcoming episode 6 will feature a handful of twists and turns. It will also shed light on the fates of the voted-out castaways at the desolated and abandoned Extinction Island.
Before that, here is a quick recap of what happened in the latest episode of Survivor: Edge of Extinction. Episode 5, titled "It's Like the Worst Cocktail Party Ever," kicked off with another Reward Challenge - the tribes ran through an obstacle course and retrieved four bolas.
The Kama tribe was the first to throw all four bolas on their post - all thanks to Joe Anglim. Hence, the group received coffee, tea, pastries, and cookies. Gavin Whitson of Manu tribe secured the second place, while the Lesu tribe went back to camp empty-handed.
The tribemates also took part in the Immunity Challenge; they dove into the water to retrieve two puzzle pieces before loading them onto a pontoon. Once the pontoon was ashore, castaways used the pieces to build a pyramid-shaped puzzle. The Kama tribe placed first, while the Lesu tribe came from behind to win their first-ever immunity challenge.
The scene, then, shifted to the tribemates discussing who to vote out. After much deliberation, Eric Hafemann, Gavin Whitson, Victoria Baamonde and Wendy Diaz voted against Aubry Bracco at the Tribal Council.
Instead of being sad about it, the 32-year-old cheered herself up and said hitting rock bottom is always her favorite part because she thrives in picking herself back up. She, then, opt to go to the "Edge of Extinction" rather than leaving the game permanently.
Now, the spoilers for Survivor: Edge of Extinction tease the much-awaited merging of the competing tribes into a single tribe. The tribemates will reportedly now live as one in one camp until the end of the game.
Moving forward, the current and voted-out castaways will all be forced to outwit, outplay and outlast one another in an attempt to claim the title of "Sole Survivor" and bring home the grand prize of $1 million.
