Shadow's (Ricky Whittle) journey will continue on American Gods Season 2 Episode 4, titled "The Greatest Story Ever Told." After Shadow got rescued, he was set to travel to Cairo with Sam Black Crow (Devery Jacobs).
Starz has yet to reveal American Gods Season 2 Episode 4 official synopsis, but there are theories it might feature the reaction of Mr. Wednesday's (Ian McShane) new alliance. In an interview with Thrillist, Orlando Jones, who plays as Mr. Nancy, talked about the theme the current season has for the audience.
"I think this season is very much about awakening and activation," he said. This theme will be continued at play on American Gods Season 2 Episode 4 as the cast and crew work on "thought-provoking and provocative" storylines. The characters' activation is also a critical part of the new season.
Shadow is working a lot after he got out of prison and became institutionalized while being in the world of Gods that he didn't know that exist. However, he still has to decide on some things as he has to get away from Wednesday. Would this be featured on American Gods Season 2 Episode 4?
Talking about the possibility of introducing new gods, Jones admitted there would be a lot of controversies in the show. He explained New Media is different from the global new media. It features the awakening of the understanding that media already changed. A lot of communication platforms emerged, and different things happened with the coming of social media.
"So when we look at tech and new media, or as characters, for us, what's their awakening?" Jones asked. It would be a question of the characters' awakening and how would they activate, although they are already activating. These things will be continuously featured on American Gods Season 2 Episode 4.
With their interest in war, they have to put their house in order before they join the battle. But, if they have somebody in the group who is shaky, they can be the weakest link. So in order to win, they have to shore up that weakest link to make their selves ready for a full-blown battle.
According to Radio Times, New Media is the successor of Gillian Anderson's Media. The character will be played by the South Korean actress Kahyun Kim. New Media will be more relevant to the modern media landscape that has changed since the show's book version was first published. In the continuation of American Gods Season 2 Episode 4, New Media will be seen having some "Mark Zuckerberg-like" traits.
American Gods Season 2 Episode 4, titled "The Greatest Story Ever Told," will be out on Sunday, March 31, at 9 p.m. on Starz. It will also be available on Starz app and other online streaming services like Hulu, Roku, Sling, and DirecTV.
