It looks like The Umbrella Academy Season 2 will remain as a dream for many fans. This after actor Aidan Gallagher strongly hinted on Twitter that the popular superhero web television series might not see another season.

Aidan Gallagher, who plays Number Five / The Boy in the show, took to Twitter on March 23 to express his sincere gratitude for the "role of a lifetime." The 15-year-old star added, "I will always look back and say wow that was the coolest role I ever played! #Netflix #UCP."

After the cryptic tweet made noise online, thousands of fans cannot help but worry about The Umbrella Academy's future. Many grasped the post to mean that Aidan Gallagher may no longer reprise his iconic role or worse that the series has not been picked up by Netflix for Season 2.

Developed by Steve Blackman and Jeremy Slater, The Umbrella Academy follows the one-of-a-kind adventures of seven adopted siblings - Luther / Number One (Tom Hopper), Diego / Number Two (David Castañeda), Allison / Number Three (Emmy Raver-Lampman), Klaus / Number Four (Robert Sheehan), Number Five / The Boy, Ben / Number Six (Justin H. Min) and Vanya / Number Seven (Ellen Page) - who each possesses superpowers.

The sibling superheroes, who now have different lives, set aside their differences and reunite to solve the mystery of their father's sudden death and uncover the secret of their dysfunctional family. At the same time, they must get ready for an impending global apocalypse.

Due to its promising storyline and star-studded ensemble cast, The Umbrella Academy was well-received by the public and viewers. The first season, which consists of 10 episodes (45 to 60 minutes each), holds a 76% approval rating with an average rating of 7.27 out of 10 based on 76 reviews, according to a report by Rotten Tomatoes.
