Fans can enjoy binge-watching Grey's Anatomy on Netflix as the show is available for streaming on the platform. However, only 14 seasons are accessible as the most current installment of the drama series has not yet arrived on the streaming giant. And for some reasons, many people believe that it will no longer take its place on Netflix anytime soon.

Normally, new installments of Grey's Anatomy arrive on Netflix when a new season airs on ABC. And with this thing in mind, it has been expected that the fifteenth season will be available for streaming on Netflix by mid-2019 since this is when the new season will end on ABC.

However, it seems that fans are losing hope recently when the news about Disney's streaming platform has come into the light.

As you may know, Disney has been pulling out a lot of materials from Netflix in recent months, most notably the Defenders franchise. For the company, this is a huge business decision as they are reportedly releasing their own streaming service and platform this 2019. So, it only makes sense to pull out their licensed projects from the future competition's platform.

Sadly for the fans, Grey's Anatomy is apparently a Disney licensed material under the ABC network. And because of these current business movements in the industry, there are rumors that the show will no longer be available on Netflix per Elite Daily.

Even so, these rumors remain to be plain reports and predictions as of the time being. And there are no confirmations yet if the show will already leave the streaming platform. So, there is still a huge chance that Grey's Anatomy will be on Netflix by June of this year according to What's On Netflix.

The outlet further contends that the hit series is under a "lengthy" contract with Netflix. And materials or projects that fall under the category rarely leaves the platform. Additionally, it has been reported that Shonda Rhimes had an agreement with the streaming service. Hence, it is quite safe to assume that Shondaland productions will always have a place on Netflix.

Another aspect that the fans are holding on to is the fact that Disney+ aims to be a streaming service that caters to family-related contents. And as every fan knows it, Grey's Anatomy is unlikely to fall under this content category. But even so, there is still a huge chance that Disney would not allow their rivals to feature their contents.

So far, these are the only things that are revealed to the public. And possibly, it may take a few months before any and all of the fans could receive a confirmation from the streaming platforms and networks.

While waiting though, fans could still watch the show's season 15 on ABC as it is still ongoing and will return on March 28 for the next episode.
