The Flash surprised its fans with a new twist as the upcoming episode might now feature and introduce Godspeed.
If you would recall the previous episodes, Failure Is An Orphan and Time Bomb, a lot of fans were quite disappointed with the turn out of events. This is because many are already hoping and expecting that Godspeed will finally be revealed as the main villain of the season.
However, it was unveiled in that Cicada and the New Cicada will remain to be the season's major enemies. And although it is really surprising to learn that the adult Grace is the New Cicada, this still did not quench the thirst of every fan as many are still hoping for Godspeed.
While everyone's already losing hope after these events, The Flash ultimately surprised the fans and viewers when it is revealed that Godspeed might be the major villain after all. In fact, this could even mean that the series will feature the said nemesis in the new seasons.
In the comics, Godspeed is apparently a supervillain who later on became an anti-hero character. At first, he was simply a colleague of Barry Allen who carries the name of August Heart.
But things started to change when his brother was murdered by a notorious criminal. Although this criminal was brought to justice by putting him behind bars, he was later set free due to the lightning that struck his and Barry's lab. And later on, he was also struck by lightning that caused him to become a speedster.
He and Barry went side by side to solve crimes and all. But upon learning that he can actually take another speedster's speed to add to his overall speed, he started to do this to every speedster just to get the justice he wants for his brother.
This resulted in him to become much faster than everyone else. Not to mention, he also has the ability to clone himself by dividing the speed force within him. However, these powers of him have negative impacts as well on his physical attributes. Even so, he can run up to 10 times the speed of light.
Although Godspeed has become a very iconic villain in the comics, there is not enough information yet as to how The Flash will introduce him in the series. There are speculations as well that he might be the one who is behind all the drama between Grace, Eobard Thawne, and the Cicadas.
So, until the new episode of The Flash airs on April 16, there is not much to tell about Godspeed in the plot. But still, this made a lot of fans very happy, excited, and eager to watch the succeeding episodes of the series.
