Jane The Virgin season 5 episode 2 will air next week and fans are really excited about it, especially the first episode's twist is that Michael has amnesia. It's a good thing that he is back, but he's using the name Jason as he couldn't remember anything after evil villain Rose/Sin Rostro gave him an electroshock therapy, which causes him to have amnesia. So now, what will happen to Jane and Michael? And what about Rafael?
Jane (Gina Rodriguez) seemed to be intent she still wanted to be with Rafael (Justin Baldoni) even though Michael (Brett Dier) is now back. Yet, we couldn't deny the fact that Jane and Michael had a past and it is a part of who she is. But then, he wasn't a part of her present now, and her relationship with Rafael is still there. Jane The Virgin season 5 episode 2 will probably be full of "romantic awkwardness" based on the synopsis of the upcoming episode.
Now that Michael is back, Jane's Catholic guilt is starting to settle in. She decided to go to Alba to seek advice, and in turn, she gets an unexpected answer. Meanwhile, Luisa (Yara Martinez) went to Rose (Bridget Regan) along with Rafael to get some answers. On the other note, Rogelio (Jaime Camil) is back to work with River (Brooke Shields). However, a power struggle emerged between the two, but Xo (Andrea Navedo) could be the solution they've been looking for.
Perhaps, Jane is seeking advice regarding her relationship with Rafael. Is she confused now that Michael is back? It can be noted season 5 would be the last for the telenovela, so every moment will surely be very important since writers wanted to bring all the characters in the right direction. But, showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman told TVLine the biggest twist of the final installment, saying not everyone will be happy with the ending.
She said the majority of viewers wanted Jane to be happy, but added she doesn't want to please everyone. She hopes viewers would understand Jane's decision in life, the choices she makes, and what's good for her. She concluded the interview by teasing, "there are deaths," and "people are going to die."
Michael is back from the dead, but are they going to kill him off once again? Or is it Rafael - who's now happy with Jane and their son Mateo (Madison Rojas)? In addition, Rodriguez recently told Vanity Fair that Jane The Virgin season 5 will be full of "twist and turn."
Jane The Virgin season 5 episode 2, titled Chapter Thirty-Three, will be airing on April 3 on CW.
