Frozen 2 has been already confirmed by Disney and fans are really excited to find out what the sequel will look like. The first movie was released back in 2013, and since then, there were rumors the movie will be given a sequel especially it reportedly managed to gross $1.2 billion worldwide. After six years, Disney finally announced Frozen 2, but what can we expect from the sequel?

The trailer of Frozen 2 was released on 13 February, which reportedly generated 116.4 million views during its first 24 hours online. Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee are back as directors of the sequel, which is set to premiere on November 22, 2019. Lee, in particular, has been consistently teasing and dropping hints about the plot of the sequel. She said Elsa (Idina Menzel) and Anna (Kristen Bell) are on a mission and they will be going far out from Arendelle. She also confirmed new songs written by Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez.

Going back to the plot of Frozen 2, a recent report suggests the sequel will feature older Elsa and Anna trying to find out what really happened to their parents. It can be recalled their mother and father died in a shipwreck, as shown in the first movie. But, what exactly happened to them? That would probably be the focus of the sequel, there were more stories to tell and explore.

The trailer hasn't really dropped hints about what to expect on Frozen 2, but the report also suggests there were already subtle clues in the trailer, wherein Elsa is using her power to cross the sea amid the storm. This could probably be a visual representation of waves and the shipwreck scene seen in the first movie.

The trailer also teased two new characters; a woman in the forest showing some sort of telekinetic power and a blond-haired man she sweeps up. Some suggested the scene is a flashback and these two new faces were actually Elsa and Anna's parents. If it's correct, Elsa likely inherited mystical abilities from her mother. There were rumors Olaf will have his own love story, while others suggest Elsa and Anna aren't really biological sister and this truth could affect their relationship.

As for the cast members, Bell and Menzel will return on Frozen 2, along with Josh Gad (Olaf) and Jonathan Groff (Kristoff). Sterling K. Brown (This is Us, Black Panther) and Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld, Charlie Countryman) will reportedly join the sequel as well, but they haven't confirmed it yet.
