Total Divas has become one of the most popular reality TV shows that E! released in recent years. Ever since it entered the spotlight in 2013, the show has become an unstoppable material. This is why it is no longer a surprise as to why it has been renewed for two more seasons after the seventh installment.
Time flies though and before everyone knows it, the eighth season of the show has already wrapped up last November. But fortunately, fans no longer need to wait for renewal updates since Total Divas Season 9 was inked already.
While the show has been certainly renewed for a new season, the cast and stars of the show tell a different story. And as it happens, there has been a major shake-up with the cast.
Earlier this year, fans and viewers received new details about the series. There will be two new additions to the show, mainly, to the cast of the upcoming season of Total Divas according to Squared Circle Sirens. Later on, it has been revealed that these two stars will be the Smackdown star, Sonya Deville, and RAW Women's Champion, Ronda Rousey.
Although these reports spread like wildfire to the whole fandom, there is still no confirmation yet if they will truly appear in the show. But in Sonya Deville's case, it is very likely that she will finally and officially join the cast as she has been in the show for several times now.
As for Ronda Rousey, the RAW superstar has not been heard to comment about the news. Nevertheless, sources claim that the cameras of the show are always at Rousey's farm to film the upcoming episodes.
Total Divas has been known to reshuffle their cast every now and then. In fact, the only remaining pioneer cast of the show is Natalya who happens to be the only star to appear in every season of the show.
Although this kind of setup has been very common to the production, what came as a surprise to the whole fandom is that the Bella Twins will no longer return for the ninth season. And according to Pro Wrestling Sheet, the twins are set to focus on the spin-off series of the show, Total Bellas.
Another major star who will also not return is the former Smackdown General Manager, Paige. And the ones who will remain for Season 9 are Natalya, Carmella, Jax, Naomi, and Nia.
Total Divas is set to premiere this 2019.
