A day before the fifth season of Younger aired on TV Land in 2018, it has been already announced that the series is renewed for another season. As it appears, this is actually not surprising at all considering the apparent laughter and fun that every fan shared with the series.
There is no official release date yet for the actual premiere of the new season. But since there is a pattern when it comes to the show's premiere dates, it is safe to assume that Younger will return in June of this year.
Based on the recent events and reports, it seems that there is a major change that will happen in the new season. And this does not only apply to the plot of the series but to the network where it will air as well.
According to TV Line, the sixth season of the "dramedy" series will be aired on Paramount Network instead of TV Land, Darren Star, the series creator, and producer confirmed. Although this major change of network seems to be great news for the creator, there is no definite basis or explanation given about the sudden change. Nevertheless, fans will still get to see more of Liza's life and, well, lies.
In reference to the previous season's plot, the whole installment has become a great deal of season for Liza and Charles. In fact, this has been revealed already by Sutton Foster herself to Entertainment Weekly even before the air date.
However, this Liza-Charles relationship is believed to have a major change as well. There will be "dynamic shifts" between the two and their relationship based on the recent reports about Younger. But as to the specifics of these "changes," no huge revelations have been shared yet.
Also, there are no official trailers yet. But such material will possibly start to circulate a month before the actual release date. Even so, stars of Younger, like Hilary Duff, are pretty much transparent when it comes to giving updates on social media about the status of the show, along with the filming and shooting. Accordingly, fans may get new updates from these teasers while waiting for the show's arrival.
As for the cast, it is worth noting that no one died in the previous seasons of the show. Besides, this is a romantic comedy series. Therefore, it is safe to assume that all of the main cast will return on the next season of Younger.
