The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling or simply, GLOW, is returning soon on Netflix for its third installment. It has been reported that the filming for the new season wrapped up already last February. So, it will be only a matter of a few months before GLOW Season 3 arrives.
The hit comedy-drama series from the streaming platform has been an enormous success. The cast and the production cannot believe that the show was able to get Emmy nominations about its first two installments. And with a stunning 96 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes, GLOW has no apparent reason for not coming back as per THR.
At the end of the second season, viewers have witnessed that the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling are now headed to Las Vegas to advanced their respective careers. Accordingly, the upcoming installment is believed to feature their Sin City trip and adventure.
However, there is a belief that their trip to Las Vegas is not a happy-ending type of journey for everyone, Liz Flahive and Carly Mensch, creators of the show revealed.
It is also worth noting that the end of the latest season has no cliffhangers. So, there is not much an indication as to how the upcoming season of GLOW will play out. Even so, there are still a few loose ends from season 2 that need tying up.
According to Radio Times, these loose ends primarily include the relationship that Sam and Ruth has. The two are close friends. But after Sam has made advances, these acts surprised Ruth which caused complications in their friendship.
Also, it seemingly appears that Ruth is about to enter a long-distance relationship with Russell. And this might make things more complicated for Sam and Ruth. So, there is a possibility that this storyline will be covered in the next season.
There are also speculations that Bash will further explore his sexuality in the upcoming season. As you may know, the latter episodes of GLOW Season 2 revealed that Bash and Rhonda might give their relationship a try after getting married. And it is established that their marriage is due to Rhonda's apparent deportation issues. Hence, these plots might be given emphasis as well in the third season.
As for the cast, Digital Spy claimed that the series does not have the theme of Game of Thrones. So, it is very likely that all of the ones present in the previous seasons will return. And the same might apply to the recurring characters of the show.
