The release date of Gotham season 5 episode 11 is still weeks away, but Fox already released the promo of the next episode and teases viewers what will happen next. The trailer features Wayne (David Mazouz) preparing to fight against Bane (Shane West). The title the upcoming episode is "They Did What?" and it will be the penultimate episode of Gotham.
According to the synopsis of Gotham season 5 episode 11, Nyssa Al Ghul (Jaime Murray) will the reunification of Gotham with the mainland because of her desire to avenge her father. Bruce now understands that he couldn't escape from the destiny Ra's (Alexander Siddig) predicted and he finally decided to take a stand. On the other note, Delta Force threatens the entire city, so the criminals, as well as the GCPD, join forces to save their home.
Meanwhile, the trailer of Gotham season 5 episode 11 starts with Bruce and Selina Kyle (Camren Bicondova) along with the Batman-like gadgets in front of them. Then, Selina told Bruce with a concerned tone that "this is crazy." The latter, on the other hand, replied "there is no other way" and it's time for him to protect Gotham. The later scene from the trailer shows Bruce and Selina encounter a bunch of villains, though they were in shadow, seemingly hiding the identities of Bruce's final threat.
But, it's safe to assume that one of them is Bane, who was introduced in episode 10. The clip also shows a large number of police officers firing guns at him, but he ordered his goons and said, "Fire at my command." The clip was then cut to one of them firing a rocket launcher - teasing the extent of Gotham's final battle. The promo ended with Bruce looking at the sky while bats fly on the air and one of them fly over the moon, foreshadowing the Batsignal from other Batman films, shows, as well as comic books.
Gotham season 5 episode 11 is set to air on April 18 on FOX. The series can also be watched online via FOX app, and it is also available in other online streaming platforms such as Roku, Sling, DirecTV Now. Meanwhile, Gotham season 5 hasn't aired yet in the UK, but Express reported Channel 4 will be airing the fifth season this 2019, though the official release date has yet to announce. But, the previous season of Gotham premiered on the network in April 2018, so the series might be released anytime soon.
