As the current installment will come to a close, Last Man Standing Season 8 is now anticipated. The network has yet to announce the show's renewal, but there is news that it may have a new schedule.
Fox has yet to announce Last Man Standing Season 8, but Cinema Blend reported the show's coming is already given. With Fox Entertainment boss Charlie Collier's statement, the series has a bright future on its new network.
"[In the] short-term, Friday night is going to WWE," Collier said. "We'll look to stand [Last Man Standing] up on another night."
From the looks of it, Last Man Standing Season 8 will be seen on a new day and time. As WWE is about to move on Fox for its 2019-2020 season, it may get the Tim Allen series' usual schedule.
TVLine reported Fox signed a five-year deal with WWE, and its new SmackDown Live episodes on the network will start on Friday, October 4. Last Man Standing Season 8's new release, on the other hand, has yet to be announced. But, there are theories it may return to its usual Tuesday timetable.
When Season 1 started on ABC in 2011, it was usually released every Tuesday night. But, its succeeding seasons after that until Fox picked it up for Season 7 had been moved to Fridays. The show proved itself to perform well with good ratings on Friday nights. If the network decides to move Last Man Standing Season 8's schedule, it may help to have more viewers.
Fox saved Last Man Standing following ABC's cancellation after its six seasons. After fan outcry, the network picked it up and revived it for Season 7 with the original cast. As it remained to be the top-rated scripted series on Friday nights, it might be impossible that it would cancel Last Man Standing Season 8.
Meanwhile, according to Pop Culture, Last Man Standing Season 7, technically the show's first season on Fox, is about to come to an end. The show is now on a brief hiatus, but the network announced its final episode would be out on Friday, May 10. It will only be a regular half-hour episode, followed by The Cool Kids Season 1 finale and Proven Innocent.
So in no time, Fox is expected to announce Last Man Standing Season 8's coming. Fans also have to wait for the network's further announcements about its new schedule.
