The popular American cooking reality television show on Fox, MasterChef, had been renewed for its tenth season last year. And it had been months already ever since the ninth season concluded with Gerron Hurt as the winner of the season. But while the previous installment has already ended last September, any fan knows that the new seasons of the show always most likely start in the months between May and June.
Fox has recently revealed the actual premiere date of the upcoming installment. And it's hardly surprising that the tenth season of MasterChef will commence on May 29 placing the show on a Wednesday schedule. However, it has also been revealed that by June 20, the show will be moved to another slot placing the remaining episodes of the new season on a Thursday schedule.
The reason behind the change of day slots is not revealed to the public. But according to Cartermatt, there is a possibility that this is the network's discretion to keep MasterChef running during the summer. And at the same time, allowing them to split the two-hour episodes at the later periods of the season. This is not a new thing as Fox has been doing this to the recent seasons of the show.
Even so, it does not affect the quality and content of the show. It even adds to the overall hype and excitement that every fan experiences when watching MasterChef.
Aside from the changes in terms of the schedules and day slots, there has been a new addition to the show's executive producers as well. As everyone knows it, the primary executive producers of the cooking television series include Elisabeth Murdoch, Danny Schrader, Georgie Hurford-Jones, Patricia Llewellyn, Ben Adler, and Gordon Ramsay. But in the upcoming season, Natalka Znak has been added as one of them according to Deadline.
As for the cast, there are no further revelations yet about the contestants and participants for the upcoming season. Nevertheless, it has been widely publicized last September that Gordon Ramsay's culinary team held numerous casting calls in different parts of the country. So, there is a huge chance that the production will reveal the new cast anytime soon.
So far, these are the only information that has been revealed about the upcoming season of MasterChef. And as for season 11, there are already words circulating about the renewal. But there are no confirmations yet from the network.
