Dee Dee (Patricia Arquette) will be losing grip of her daughter on The Act Episode 5, titled "Plan B." Gypsy (Joey King) is now longing to experience the outside world after meeting Nick (Calum Worthy) online. As she is getting determined to have her own life, her mother is becoming desperate to take control of her.

"Gypsy and Nick scheme to meet in person and hope to win Dee Dee's approval," The Act Episode 5 official synopsis, per Putlocker. "But when their plan goes disastrously wrong, they'll be pushed to make an extreme choice to be together."

From the looks of it, Gypsy is ready to do everything to decide for herself on The Act Episode 5. Although she will try to have her mother's consent and introduce her to Nick, she may go berserk and convince her she is still young to have a boyfriend.

Gypsy was born in 1991, so she is already 21. However, Dee Dee claims she was born in 1995, making her only 18. Whether 21 or 18, she is now basically an adult who can decide for herself. Will The Act Episode 5 be the end of manipulation?

Gypsy is starting experiencing what adults feel when she sees the guy next door. When she had her first kiss in Episode 3, she began to lust. She even talked about boys and dating websites with Lacey (AnnaSophia Robb). Thus, she tried to get her connection to the outside world. Could Gypsy finally escape on The Act Episode 5?

According to Refinery29, as Dee Dee feels like she is about to lose her grip on her daughter, she leans on Gypsy even more. She is emotionally manipulating her by acting like she is very sick, taking advantage of her innocence. Although the matriarch is suffering from real health problems, she doesn't tell Gypsy about it, making her believe that she is the sick one.

Gypsy's story can be considered scarier than fiction. As she now meets Nick and wants a taste of the outside world, things may go sour on The Act Episode 5. Surely, her mother will not allow her to have a boyfriend, let alone to have her own life and leave her.

So in a desperate move to be in control of her life and be with Nick, they may do something that will change their lives forever and reveal the truth about Gypsy and Dee Dee. The Act Episode 5, titled "Plan B," will be out on Wednesday, April 10, on Hulu.
