Following a well-deserved and sweet gift of the Frogmore Cottage from The Queen for the expectant Duke and Duchess of Sussex, another welcoming development has arrived before the anticipated birth of their firstborn. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been granted their own Instagram account in support of their work as Duke and Duchess of Sussex and the causes they support, including important announcements, and "the opportunity to shine a light on key issues." This is a healthy way of being independent and at the same time having their own "support staff" based at Buckingham Palace.
The announcement came last April 2 as they officially separated from the Kensington Palace social media account, @KensingtonRoyal Instagram and Twitter account to which they share with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. The profile picture was automatically changed into a foursome of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton and Prine William taken during an interview, after the wedding of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The @sussexroyal was granted by Queen Elizabeth as it was already long-been discussed and requested so that the Duke and Duchess' can easily organize their work while at the same time a perfect chance to announce upcoming events pertaining to the royal couple like the arrival of the firstborn and their move to their official residence at Frogmore Cottage.
Before becoming a royal, the former actress, Meghan Markle has her blog and social media accounts, however, royal protocols demand that upon marrying Prince Harry, she will altogether leave the life she had. From being an actress, an American citizen, a Protestant and even her name, these were all changed, as she is now referred to as Meghan, Duchess of Sussex. Now that there is a renewed freedom, before having a child and moving out of Kensington Palace where she and Prince Harry previously shares with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their children, Meghan Markle gets back to having her social media account with Prince Harry tagged along.
Their first post consists of a welcome remark and a message signed by the royal couple, thanking their followers for their support. In addition to that, photos of the royal couples' recent travels and activities were shared for their initial 500,00 followers. It was already announced last month that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex would have their own communications staff based in Buckingham Palace in lieu of the impending turn over of Queen Elizabeth to Prince Charles as King. With the movement in the line of the throne, Prince William gets to be second in line, changing all the functions of the royals altogether.
