It looks like fans will have to wait a while to see what comes next to the doctors and nurses at Gaffney Medical Center's emergency department. NBC will not be airing a new episode of Chicago Med Season 4 for the following weeks.
Instead, the popular medical drama television series will be back on Wednesday, April 24 with the show's episode 19, as per Carter Matt. Hence, it is safe to say that the remaining three episodes - episode 20, 21 and 22 - will all air during May.
There is no word yet on what the next episode will be all about, but the latest episode of Chicago Med Season 4 has kept everyone on the edge of their seat. While performing surgery on a VIP patient, Dr. Connor Rhodes (Colin Donnell) suddenly got a phone call claiming that his ex-girlfriend, Dr. Robin Charles (Mekia Cox), had been abducted and was being held for ransom.
He asked Dr. Daniel Charles (Oliver Platt) to call Dr. Robin Charles as she had been kidnapped and not to call the cops. However, the former wasted no time in calling the policemen. This caused Dr. Connor Rhodes to panic - wanting to rush out of the operating room immediately.
Thankfully, Adam Ruzek (Patrick John Flueger) stepped in and told Dr. Connor Rhodes that the whole thing had been a scam. They had spoken to Dr. Robin Charles, and she was totally fine.
The episode also saw Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) dealing with a patient who was the victim of a meth explosion. It turned out that the patient is a Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) agent. Dr. Natalie Manning (Torrey DeVitto) and Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee), on the other hand, butted heads in a huge fight over doctor-patient confidentiality.
Dr. Natalie Manning and Dr. Ethan Choi agreed to do an ultrasound on a young woman who had fallen ill during her tour of Northwestern. However, the test result revealed that the patient gotten pregnant and ordered abortion pills online, but only got one of the two needed pills.
Dr. Natalie Manning was willing to keep everything a secret from the patient's parents, but Dr. Ethan Choi argued that they needed to know about their daughter's treatment since she was a minor. After an intense argument and legal consultation, they decided to get parental permission for surgery.
More drama and heart-stopping moments to come in the upcoming episodes of Chicago Med Season 4.
