Things are not looking good for Jon Snow (Kit Harington) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). The brand-new teaser for Game of Thrones Season 8 is seemingly teasing the end of their blossoming relationship.

Earlier this week, a brand-new promotional video of Game of Thrones Season 8 has been leaked, and it teases Jon Snow and Daenerys Targaryen's relationship in jeopardy. The 30-second-long video shows the Mother of Dragons staring into a fire with her back turned to the former, who leaves the room.

After watching the said clip, fans cannot help but speculate that it could be the moment when Daenerys Targaryen finds out that Jon Snow is Aegon Targaryen, the son of Princess Lyanna Stark (Aisling Franciosi) and Prince Rhaegar Targaryen (Wilf Scolding), the late Prince of Dragonstone. Hence, he is the first in line of succession to the Iron Throne, not his aunt.

"Daenerys's lifelong dream has been to avenge her family and claim her rightful seat on the Iron Throne," Emilia Clarke said in an interview with TV Insider. "She truly loves Jon. Were she to find out about his title, it would cut deep," she added.

As of the moment, the only people who know about Jon Snow's true lineage are Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) and Samwell "Sam" Tarly (John Bradley). It can be recalled that in the Season 7 finale of Game of Thrones, Sam Tarly arrived at Winterfell to help Jon Snow win the Great War against the Night King.

He was welcomed by Bran Stark who revealed his discovery that Jon Snow is the son of Prince Rhaegar and Princess Lyanna. Since he was born in Dorne, his bastard surname should be "Sand," as per Bran Stark.

At that moment, Sam Tarly countered that the transcription Gilly (Hannah Murray) read to him before claimed that Prince Rhaegar had his first marriage annulled and secretly remarried Princess Lyanna while in Dorne.

Using his unique abilities, Bran Stark went back in time and witnessed the secret wedding of Prince Rhaegar and Princess Lyanna. He also saw the latter giving birth of Aegon Targaryen. He, then, realized that Robert's Rebellion (also known as the War of the Usurper) was based on a lie and Jon Snow is the true heir to the Iron Throne.

Game of Thrones Season 8 is set to premiere on April 14 on HBO. Stay tuned to Business Times for the latest Game of Thrones spoilers and updates.
