ABC's new legal drama, The Fix, poses a lot of questions if it really has something to do with O.J. Simpson's murder case. As The Fix Episode 4, titled "Scandal," is about to hit the small screens, the assumptions are strong that it is based on real-life events.
In The Fix Episode 4 official synopsis, per Spoilers Guide, Maya (Robin Tunney) will get her hands on the CCTV footage that will show what happened to Jessica (Taylor Kalupa) before she died. Ezra (Scott Cohen), on the other hand, will do everything to ruin Maya's reputation, even if he has to make a story that she has an affair with Matthew (Adam Rayner).
Hence, Alan (Breckin Meyer) will be angry at Ezra for his plan to defame Maya in The Fix Episode 4. The D.A.'s office will also learn that there is a "mole" who leaks information to Ezra.
As The Fix Episode 4 goes deeper in the story, some fans wonder if the show is based on O.J. Simpson murder case, as it is created by the case's lead prosecutor Marcia Clark. The series is about a district attorney's reappearance after losing a trial. From here, according to Heavy, viewers can't deny the similarities its plotline has to Clark's personal story.
"Attorney and author Marcia Clark co-write and executive produces a new legal drama about Maya Travis, an L.A. district attorney who suffers a devastating defeat when prosecuting an A-list actor for double murder," The Fix official synopsis read. "With her high-profile career derailed, she flees for a quieter life in Washington. Eight years later when this same celebrity is under suspicion for another murder, Maya Travis is lured back to the DA's office for another chance at justice."
ABC revealed The Fix is a "revenge fantasy" and not based on true story. Clark even told TV Insider that although she and Maya have the same "origin story" and passion to justice, the show is not based on her tale. The Fix is a "fictional imagining" of a murderer who gets charged with murder for the second time, and a prosecutor who returns to try to give him justice after she failed the first time.
The Fix Episode 4, titled "Scandal," will be out on Monday, April 8, at 10 p.m. on ABC. It can also be watched online through the network's app without extra cost. It can also be seen on Hulu, Roku, and Sling.
