Creating something out of nothing is always a wonder to behold. In the case of Fernando Fischmann's creations, the Chilean behind the company Crystal Lagoons sought to bring his experience from Mexico and the Carribean to the world's driest places, as well as the Palm Springs territory in California, Forbes reported.
Reporters sat down with the developer and took a look into some of their best creations on a global scale. Fischmann, the report revealed, had developed a technology for the design and maintenance of large-scale artificial lagoons, which they also maintain. These man-made bodies of water are sustainable and can be placed in any location from the desert to the sea, hence their association with Dubai and its preference for man-made marvels.
The Meydan One in Dubai is an example of an 'oasis in the desert' with its mixed-use district containing four hotels, each with their own vibe and experience imparted on the visitor. The development also features the 'longest indoor ski slope' in the world, at an awesome 1.2 km from top to bottom, which empties out into a water park just outside the walls of the facility.
These aren't the only largest water parks in the world. Travel Channel lists some of them, starting with the Siam Park, located in Spain. The water park is divided into three 'themes' where visitors can relax, spend some quality time with family, or take in a water adventure with their friends. The water park is also situated in the scenic Canary Islands.
Of course, the US holds several of the best water parks in the world. Aside from the Fischmann developed-Palm Springs resort, Florida also holds the Universal Studios' Volcano Bay. Queuing is made a thing of the past in the resort as visitors can visit the different cabanas up to the massive Waturi Beach pool, thanks to the 'TapuTapu' wristband technology, which holds a visitors' place in line.
The Bahamas, meanwhile, is home to 'The Leap of Faith,' a viral attraction which features a near-vertical slide that guides guests through a clear tunnel. The tunnel is special because it passes through a shark-infested lagoon, giving visitors an up, close, and personal experience with the mighty predators of the deep.
Whether it's in Dubai, Palm Springs, or any other part of the world, Fischmann--and other competitors--are pushing the boundaries of luxury real estate and creating innovations that will only benefit the realm of real estate technology in the long run.
