The premiere date of Younger season 6 has been confirmed. The cast, led by Sutton Foster (as Liza Miller) and Hillary Duff (as Kelsey Peters), announced the show's return in a cute video teaser.
TV Land posted its Younger season 6 teaser on its social media accounts including YouTube, where the cast members passed around an envelope. At the end of the video, Duff finally revealed the date with the show returning on Wednesday, June 12, at 10:00 p.m.
TV Line reported that Younger season 6 would stay on TV Land. Viacom decided to keep the show in its original home despite an announcement last September 2018 that it will move to Paramount Network.
The cast and crew filmed YoungerSeason 6 all throughout winter, and the stars' social media accounts were not lacking in updates about the production's progress. However, there's still a big question over the relationship between Liza and Charles (Played by Peter Hermann). There should be new conflicts ahead even if they have decided to finally be a couple. Star hinted in an interview with Entertainment Tonight about the complications of this relationship.
"Liza is getting so much what she wants, in terms of professionally. Charles was put into, for the moment, a nowhere situation because he needed to accept that investment. Season 6 is basically, 'let's see how this unfolds.' The dynamic is going to be different," the creator said.
Meanwhile, Kelsey will have a new job to learn and grow from in Younger season 6, Diana (played by Miriam Shor) is going to imbibe more self-love this coming season. Incidentally, Shor is going to direct another episode in the upcoming installment.
Josh (played by Nico Tortorella), on the other hand, will have to embrace becoming a dad. Viewers will recall that he found out about his baby at the end of Younger season 5.
Younger Season 6 will also feature some returning guest stars like Laura Benanti, Phoebe Dynevor and Michael Urie. The show will also introduce a new love interest for Maggie (played by Debi Mazar).
Younger follows the story of a capable and talented editor in Liza, who lied about her age in the first season so that she can qualify for her dream job. Younger season 6 will put Liza in a new responsibility as the publisher of Millennial Print, a new magazine. Charles, on the other hand, will no longer have a hand in the business.
