Jennifer Lopez has finally broken her silence about the allegations that her fiance Alex Rodriguez is cheating on her. The Hollywood star directly addressed the rumors during a sit-down interview in a Los Angeles radio program.
J-Lo told the hosts of The Breakfast Club that she doesn't believe the cheating allegations from Jose Canseco. However, she also got real and admitted their struggles as a couple with dominant personalities.
"I know what the truth is," Lopez said, and reiterated that she and A-Rod are happy together. "We're not going to let, like, other people come out and tell us what our relationship is. I know what our relationship is."
In March, Canseco posted on Twitter that Rodriguez has been cheating on Lopez with his ex-wife Jessica Canseco. The former MLB pro and Jessica have been divorced for nearly 20 years.
Jessica, on the other hand, had to issue a denial about her affair with Rodriguez. She claimed on her social media page that she hasn't seen Rodriguez for more than five years.
Meanwhile, Lopez said in the same radio interview that she and Rodriguez sometimes struggle with compromising with each other. The actress said that she and her fiancé are both Leos and thus have strong, take-charge personalities. At the same time, however, Lopez said that this is why they have a lot of respect for each other.
The Grammy-winning singer also had to set the record straight about Rodriguez and her former boyfriend Sean P. Diddy Combs, who posted a comment that sparked rumors on Instagram. Combs apparently replied to one of Lopez's photos with a heart emoji and an "OMG" that sent fans on a frenzy.
Lopez said that Combs immediately wrote Rodriguez after people reacted. He clarified that it was a harmless comment and that he respected the pair's relationship. Combs also said that he was very happy for both Lopez and Rodriquez's engagement.
The actress dated Combs from 2001 to 2003 and she reiterated that they never moved in or lived together. They have, however, remained good friends since their breakup and Combs even watched Lopez's All I Have concert in Las Vegas and shook hands with Rodriguez.
Meanwhile, J-Lo and A-Rod have yet to get started on their wedding planning. They got engaged last March 9 after dating for two years. But Lopez insisted that they haven't found the time to actually plan because of work.
The actress is currently filming Hustlers with Cardi B and Constance Wu and Rodriguez has been supportive of her pouring time for work. The film has no release date as of press time.
