Riverdale Season 3 is currently on a three-week hiatus, so fans are patiently waiting what will happen next. With a lot of spoilers here and there, it looks like someone is set to return.
Chic (Hart Denton) may make a surprising return to Riverdale Season 3. In a social media post by KJ Apa, who plays as Archie in the series, it hinted the 25-year-old star's comeback.
Apa shared his selfie with Denton on his Instagram story that seemed to imply the latter's return to Riverdale Season 3. "Excuse me do you mind if my husband sits next to me?" he wrote.
As expected, fans went into a frenzy when they saw the snap. From here, the speculations begin. "Will @hartdenton be coming back to Riverdale? Chic is not dead, is he?" a fan said on Twitter.
Another fan said it is okay for him to have Riverdale Season 3 plot messed up if it would return Chic. According to Express.co.uk, Apa's post might be an indication that Denton was back to filming.
Fans thought Chic was the victim of Black Hood, but it was later revealed that he was an imposter. The teen that everyone thought to be Chic was revealed to be a fraud named Charles Smith. Since then, fans didn't see Denton's role until the previous season finale.
The assumptions about Chic's return to Riverdale Season 3 become stronger when Madchen Amick, who plays as Alice Cooper, talked about the character. "I'm sure you're all aware of [Hart's] creepy portrayal of the Cooper son," she said. "I can't wait to see what he's gonna be up to in season three."
So from the looks of it, fans have to wait for which remaining episodes of Riverdale Season 3 will feature Chic's return. Aside from the questions of the character of Denton's comeback, fans also wonder the real ability of The Farm members, what happened to Baby Teeth (Connor Paton), and Edgar's (Chad Michael Murray) plan.
Seventeen reported Baby Teeth might be dead. However, it remained to be unknown if the Ghoulies killed him or somebody else. Archie would be back in the ring in Riverdale Season 3, Betty (Lili Reinhart) would continue her investigation in The Farm, Ricky (Nico Bustamante) would also return, Choni would take center stage, and something is about to happen between Archie and Veronica (Camila Mendes).
Riverdale Season 3 would return with Episode 18, titled "Jawbreaker." It would be out on Wednesday, April 17, on The CW.
