If you are a fan of Game of Thrones, you certainly know that reunions are not entirely a thing in the course of the series. It's either one would die, or one would get stuck from somewhere just before a supposed reunion would happen. But of course, the series finale will likely have a different tone. And there is a big chance that the characters that most fans would want to reunite will be reunited just before the big battle between the living and the dead commences.
As mentioned, reunions have a great deal of scarcity in the plot of Game of Thrones. This is why having a homecoming or a re-gathering of the characters is quite unusual. This has been very apparent during Season 7 Episode 7 where most of the major players of the series met in Westeros. This meeting stirred a lot of emotions from the fans and the viewers.
From Jamie and Brienne's other meet-up to Cersei and Jon Snow's reunion, these meetings have brought emotions to all the watchers. The same thing is true for Tyrion and Bronn's mini-reunion together with Pod which serves as one of the most favored get-togethers in the history of Game of Thrones.
In other episodes from the previous seasons, fans also witnessed the emotional reunions between Sansa and Jon Snow. This is one of the most surprising and emotional meet-ups in the course of the series. And not to mention that Sansa and Jon Snow are not close when the series started. And likewise when Sansa and Arya reunite in Season 7 along with Bran.
So far, these are the apparent reunions that made people felt happy, emotional and surprised. But since the finale is fast approaching, fans can no longer wait for the succeeding get-together and homecoming that will happen between all characters.
For one, Jamie Lannister will possibly now meet Bran again. And for sure, things will be even more intense. Secondly, Tyrion will reunite with his former wife, Sansa, once they reach Winterfell. Thirdly, the reunion between Arya and Gendry is also something that most fans look forward to. And the same thing is also true for Arya and The Hound's future meeting.
But the most awaited reunion that everybody is looking forward when Game of Thrones Season 8 airs is the reunion between Arya, Bran, and Jon Snow. Aside from the fact that Jon Snow will now learn his true identity and his actual claim to the Iron Throne, he will get to be with his favorite sibling, Arya. And surely, this is going to be a real tear-inducing episode.
