Viewers should get ready for more drama, action, and suspense as the spoilers for Shadowhunters Season 3 Episode 19 reveal that Jace Herondale (Dominic Sherwood) will do whatever it takes to save Clary Fray (Katherine McNamara).
Before that, here is a quick recap (via TV Fanatic) of what happened in the latest episode of Shadowhunters Season 3. Episode 18, titled "The Beast Within," kicked off with a demon outbreak in New York City on Halloween day.
As the Shadowhunters hunt the demons, Jace Herondale became more worried about Clary Fray. Unfortunately, the heavenly fire serum was not strong enough to break the bond between her and Jonathan Morgenstern (Luke Baines).
As they looked for alternatives, the Seelie Queen (Kimberly-Sue Murray) commanded her faerie assassin to sneak into the Institute and pierce Jonathan Morgenstern's heart. The plan, however, failed when Clary Fray - who's consumed by the darkness - rescued him and vowed to protect him at any cost.
Now, the fight to save Clary Fray has taken a critical turn. In the bid to finally get rid of the rune binding her to Jonathan Morgenstern, Jace Herondale will go undercover in Shadowhunters Season 3 Episode 19.
"To try and save Clary from Jonathan, Jace goes undercover," the official synopsis for Shadowhunters Season 3 Episode 19 reads, as quoted by Carter Matt. "Back at the Institute, Isabelle Lightwood (Emeraude Toubia), Simon Lewis (Alberto Rosende) and Luke Garroway (Isaiah Mustafa) race to find a way to finally destroy Clary's bond with Jonathan. With time running out, can Isabelle create the solution before Jace's cover is blown?" it added.
The upcoming episode will also see the aftermath of Alec Lightwood (Matthew Daddario) and Magnus Bane's (Harry Shum Jr.) heartbreaking break-up. It is presumed that the split will leave the latter so devastated that he tries to do everything he can to forget about the former - even to the point where he considers wiping his brain.
It will also feature fan-favorite characters such as Alec Lightwood (Matthew Daddario), Maryse Lightwood (Nicola Correia-Damude), Maia Roberts (Alisha Wainwright), Meliorn (Jade Hassoune), Jace Herondale (Dominic Sherwood), Praetor Scott (James McGowan), Maryse Lightwood (Nicola Correia-Damude), Catarina Loss (Sophia Walker), Asmodeus (Jack Yang), and Cain (Pasha Ebrahimi).
Shadowhunters Season 3 Episode 19, titled "Aku Cinta Kamu," is directed by Todd Slavkin based on a script penned by Jamie Gorenberg. It is set to air on Monday, April 22 at 8:00 PM - 9:00 PM (EST) on FREEFORM.
