Fans are now excited about the imminent premiere of Criminal Minds Season 15. However, CBS has been very private about the details of the upcoming new installment of the popular American police procedural crime drama television series up to this writing. Because of this, avid followers of the series have created their theories and speculations on what is likely to happen in its fifteenth season.
It is expected that the imminent Criminal Minds Season 15 would pick up where the fourteenth installment left off. Series showrunner Erica Messer, previously, revealed that she wants to honor the history of the show. Hence, avid followers of the show could expect some flashbacks in the up-and-coming new installment.
Aside from that, Erica also revealed that the characters of the series would focus on their emotional journey. If this is the case, then, fans can expect a mixture of drama, romance, and action scenes in the forthcoming Criminal Minds Season 15. Though this is going to be the show's last and final installment, it is still possible that new characters would be introduced.
As a matter of fact, it was, previously, revealed that Perception star Rachael Leigh Cook would return in Criminal Minds Season 15 as Max, who is a kind-hearted woman that will catch the heart of a genius FBI profiler. Max is said to be the new love interested of Dr. Spencer Reid (Matthew Gray Gubler) in the new installment. Though several viewers were shipping for Dr. Reid and Agent JJ Jareau (Andrea Joy "A. J." Cook), speculations suggested that their ship is about to sink. This, also, means that JJ would not leave her husband for Reid.
Rumors have it that Max would be introduced as an unsub victim in one of the Behavioral Analysis Unit's cases in Criminal Minds Season 15. The character of Rachael Leigh Cook is predicted to develop a bond with Dr. Reid in the first episode of the fifteenth installment and would reappear as the latter's special pal in the later part of the season.
Aside from Matthew Gray Gubler, Andrea Joy "A. J." Cook, and Rachael Leigh Cook, other stars expected to return in Criminal Minds Season 15 include Joe Mantegna as David Rossi and Kirsten Vangsness as Penelope Garcia. Thomas Gibson, who played as Aaron Hotchner, might not be able to make his comeback after he was fired in 2016.
Reports suggested that the upcoming installment has started shooting already. It would have a total of 10 episodes and CBS might premiere it in early 2020. Stay tuned to Business Times for more Criminal Minds Season 15 spoilers, predictions, news, and updates.
