The first and second seasons of Sneaky Pete were released in January 2017 and March 2018, respectively. Prior to the confirmation of its release date, there were already talks that the third installment will premiere in Spring 2019. Previously, Amazon Prime has finally announced the official release date of Sneaky Pete season 3. It is set to arrive on May 10, dropping all of its episodes on the streaming service.

As for the cast of Sneaky Pete season 3, Ricky Jay was supposedly part of the upcoming installment, but he passed away in November 2018. He played the character of T.H. Vigneti and role comes incomplete as they were still working at the time of his death. The Hollywood Reporter noted the creators of the series need to rewrite the story, so they made some adjustments and this might also be one of the reasons why the show has been delayed.

Meanwhile, Giovanni Ribisi who portrays lead character Pete Murphy/Marius Josipovic will return in the third season. Other cast members expected to return include Peter Gerety (as Otto Bernhardt), Libe Barer (Carly), Shane McRae (Taylor), and Marin Ireland (Julia). Sneaky Pete season 3 will also include new cast members, including Patrick J Adams who will play the role of arrogant business Stefano Kilbane, and Efrat Dor as an amoral con woman named Lizzie.

The plot of season 3 will reportedly focus on all members of the Sneaky Pete family while they are exploring their identity. It's also possible the series will pick up from where it ended in the previous season, wherein Julia found out the true identity of Pete. Series creator Graham Yost told The Hollywood Reporter they'll be going to make a large story about Marius, as well as the Bernhardt family.

Meanwhile, Otakukart reported Sneaky Pete season 3 will have a production shift. The storylines of the series were majority set in Bridgeport and Connecticut, but for the third installment, it is said to move from New York to Los Angeles.
