Thanks to their effective chemistry in the popular television drama based on the historical time travel book series of Diana Gabaldon. Now, new photos of the pair for the upcoming Outlander Season 5 have emerged, which sparked delight and excitement among its avid followers.

STARZ, via its official Twitter, released an official photo that features Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe in the pre-revolutionary era in United States earlier this week.  The duo's characters, Jamie Fraser and Claire Randall, looked head over heels with each other in the said snap. The photograph, effortlessly, caught the attention of many.

As a matter of fact, Caitriona Balfe was quick to retweet the photo on her official Twitter account. "Just a couple of kids... 20+ years in..." the leading lady of Sam Heughan wrote in the caption, which is a reference to the gap of time that Claire and Jamie, previously, had. To recall, Claire Randall decided to return to 1940s after she thought that Jamie had expired already.

Now that the imminent Outlander Season 5 is getting nearer and nearer to its official premiere date, fans could not help but create theories and speculations on what are likely to happen in the new installment. While the new season is expected to pick up where Season 4 left off, avid followers of the show could expect that there would be more action-packed scenes for both Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe in the series' fifth installment.

"Season five, we essentially pick up where we left them," Outlander Season 5 star Richard Rankin, who plays Roger, revealed to RadioTimes. "There's a little passage of time, but there's a lot going on for all of the characters, and there's a lot of new relationships to be forged," he added.
