All eyes are in Avengers: Endgame today, but what will happen after the Marvel Cinematic Universe's Phase 3 ends? MCU's Phase 4 is about to start, and it will include the confirmed Black Panther 2. Little details are only known about the movie, but here is everything that we know so far.

Marvel has yet to reveal Black Panther 2 official plotline, but according to Inverse, it may tell the story after Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame. As the battle in Infinity War took place in Wakanda, the movie sequel may explore what will happen after it.

The world of Black Panther 2 may also grow after T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) opened Wakanda's borders in the first film. His move ended the nation's history of being isolated, so it might only mean that new characters would be introduced and more stories would be explored.

Hence, Black Panther 2 doesn't have to tell an origin story as it may delve into T'Challa's tale as he moves into new directions. The sequel may also go deep to the character's comic book history to feature a new storyline.

Talking about Black Panther 2 villain, Metro UK reported Michael B. Jordan might return to reprise his role as Erik Killmonger. Although the antagonist had met his demise in the previous movie, it could be possible that his death was only a "red herring" or he might appear in a flashback. He could also be seen in Djalia, the mystical afterlife that the Black Panther could visit to talk to his ancestors.

There are also rumors that Donald Glover will join Black Panther 2. There are reports The Lion King star is in talks to play a role in the movie, which can be the villain.

Meanwhile, MCU's Phase 4 will begin after Avengers: Endgame with Spider-Man: Far From Home, which will be out on July 5. The movies that are part of the last past of Marvel's fictional universe will release from this year through 2022. So, Den of Geek predicted Black Panther 2 might be out in February 2021.

The first movie was out on February 16, 2018, and earned $1 billion in four weeks. So, Marvel might stick to its original timeline and unveil Black Panther 2 in the same month to recreate the magic of the original movie's first opening weekend, getting $200 million domestically. For now, fans should see Avengers: Endgame to know what will happen next to the MCU and T'Challa.
