The Blacklist Season 6 has been very intriguing in terms of its plot. While the show has sustained its original dynamic, the current season seems to be filled with much more heartstopping twists and turnouts of events.
In the last episode titled, The Third Estate, the fans have already witnessed what Red and the Task Force recovered about The Third Estate. Although it's pretty much just the tip of the iceberg, it's already a good treat for the imminent end of the season.
While the plot about The Third Estate seems to be very enticing, Katarina Rostova's storyline becomes so much more thrilling. Thanks to Ressler's efforts in the last episode, he went behind Liz's back to get information about her mother, Katarina.
Previously, it has been revealed that Katarina is a former KGB operative. But it is only in recent episodes that her and Red's past life was partially tackled. And since the end of the installment is fast approaching, it seemingly appears that the next episodes of The Blacklist Season 6 will focus on Red and Katarina's past life.
To make things more exciting, it has been revealed that The Blacklist Season 6 will return to air two hour-long episodes on NBC. As it happens, Episodes 18 and 19 titled, The Brockton College Killer and Rassvet, respectively, are scheduled on the same day which will air continuously.
Based on the synopsis, The Brockton College Killer episode will focus on a corpse that is discovered in the woods. While the episode seems to give hints about Katarina's appearance, The Blacklist Season 6 Episode 18 will just give a foretaste about Ressler's discovery.
Episode 19, on the other hand, shows that Katarina Rostova's overall identity will be finally revealed. And while she is believed to make an appearance on the first episode of the night, it is only in the succeeding segment that the plot will focus on her and her past life.
The synopsis of the nineteenth episode reveals that Katarina Rostova, who will be played by Lotte Verbeek, will be on the run after a mission goes down south. And since she has no one, she is revealed to ask help and assistance to the person that she fully trusts.
This man is stated to be the person who promised to protect her at all times. Although there is no name mentioned, it is pretty much obvious that this man is Red. And from there, it is certain that their past lives will be tackled and their identities will be finally revealed.
But while these episodes offer a very exciting and thrilling plot, it is still worth remembering that The Blacklist Season 6 is now four episodes away before the season concludes. So, the fans should not miss this two-hour special episode when it airs on April 26, on NBC.
