WARNING: This article contains spoilers from 9-1-1 Season 2 Episode 16.

Viewers will see 9-1-1 season 2 episode 16 arriving next week, which will possibly feature an origin story of Bobby, as the title, "Bobby Begins Again," obviously hints the character would be in focus. Here's what to expect in next week's episode.

According to the synopsis of 9-1-1 season 2 episode 16, Bobby Nash decided to move to Los Angeles to start a new life. His decision comes after a devastating tragedy that happened in Minnesota, and in LA, he'll meet Athena Grant for the first time. Based on the episode description, viewers can expect to see the character's early pain, as well as how he ended up moving to Los Angeles.

Aside from that, Bobby and Athena's story would also be in focus in 9-1-1 season 2 episode 16. It's interesting to see the origin story of these characters, and viewers could also learn more about how they started working together. Also, it's interesting to know how they developed something which turned into something "a whole lot more."

This is also likely an emotional episode, as viewers about to see a character dealing with his pain. But why is Bobby's origin story being featured just now? That's probably a preparation for what is yet to come, not only for him but for the rest of the characters. Although 9-1-1 shows various near-death situations and dangerous rescues, the characters also deserve a good story to tell.

The conclusion of this episode is also important, especially because there are only two more episodes for the rest of 9-1-1 season 2. At this point, it is essential for the show to prepare for more stories since that's one important factor in determining the future of a series. Many are hoping 9-1-1 would deliver an excellent season 2 finale so that they can expect more in the future seasons.

But there's no need to worry as TVLine recently reported 9-1-1 had been renewed for a third season. The writers of the series are probably setting the stage for some other season 3 backstory episodes right now. As per Fox President Michael Thorn, "9-1-1 redefined' what a procedural series can be," and saying kudos Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, Tim Minear and their entire crew.

Currently, the series stars Peter Krause, Angela Bassett, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Oliver Stark, Aisha Hinds, Kenneth Choi, and Ryan Guzman.

9-1-1 season 2 episode 16 will air on Monday, April 29, on FOX.
