It will still take a little while before fans see Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 Episode 1 hit the small screens. But when the group returns, the wait will surely be worth it with the new explorations and the revelation of the mysterious individual who looks like Coulson (Clark Gregg)
"Scattered across the galaxy, the team works to find their footing in the wake of losing Coulson," Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 Episode 1 official synopsis read. The premiere episode will be featuring the team trying to figure out how they will be structured, per CarterMatt.
It is also the time when they are thinking if there is a proper way to move forward with Coulson's death. The agents have to move in a great distance in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 Episode 1 to do their first mission.
They will also be put in a test in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 Episode 1 as they are about to encounter someone who exactly looks like Coulson. Details about this new character remain scarce, and it looks like he has no idea what S.H.I.E.L.D. is all about.
According to TV Guide, fans will see Gregg in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 Episode 1 and future episodes, although his character as Coulson is already dead. The 57-year-old star earlier teased that he would be playing a new role coming the new season.
And although this guy exactly looks like Coulson, he will be far from the real Coulson that fans know and love. The man's name is said to be Sarge, and he will probably cause some tension with Coulson's team in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 Episode 1.
"We're introduced to a new character, who happens to have a very similar aesthetic to Coulson," Chloe Bennet, who plays as Skye, said. "So having that as a constant reminder in a way turns out to not be the easiest."
In the previous season, Coulson died as he and May (Ming Na Wen) were watching the sunset while they were planning to spend his final days on Earth together. When Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 Episode 1 picks up where Season 5 left off, the team would still be in grieve over his lost from the poison that slowly killed him.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. Season 6 Episode 1, titled "Missing Pieces," will be out on Friday, May 10, on ABC. Fans should get ready to meet Sarge and see if he has any similarities with Coulson aside from his looks.
