Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie are now officially and legally single again after a judge made the ruling on the bifurcation of their marriage. However, their divorce is far from over and may still drag on for a couple more months.
This is because details regarding custody rights over their children are still being worked out. The division of their properties and assets have yet to be finalized as well. The divorce case will have until December 31, 2019 to be concluded after Judge John Ouderkirk approved the extension.
But for now, accordingly, what was important to the couple was that they could finally both move on with their lives---single lives, after a grueling two and a half years into their divorce proceedings. The two will continue to pursue their divorce until a settlement agreement is reached.
Despite their ongoing divorce, the two are agreed about one thing and that is the best possible outcome scenario for their six children, Maddox, who is now 17 years old, Pax, 15 years old, Zahara, 14, Shiloh, 12, and the 10-year-olds, Vivienne and Knox.
The two had met during the making of their film Mr. & Mrs. Smith, in 2005. It was not until some months after their film was released that they had begun dating. They later went on to getting married in 2014 at their chateau in France. But in a couple of years, Jolie filed for a divorce, citing their irreconcilable differences, while also requesting sole custody for her brood of six.
However, despite the decision on their status only recently being finalized, rumors have already gone around as to who the two stars are pursuing a relationship with each.
The actress has been purportedly seeing the Irish actor Collin Farrel some months now. If anything, her appearance at the premiere of the actor's film Dumbo has only made those rumors on their relationship ring true.
Jolie has not confirmed such rumors, but many are optimistic that she will be more forthcoming now that a legal decision has already been established regarding her civil status. In the meantime, the Maleficent starrer is busy with making the sequel to her 2014 film, Maleficent: Mistress of Evil, which is set to come out in October.
As for Pitt, it was reported that he and Jennifer Aniston are looking to revisit their relationship, after her divorce from Justin Theroux. Although there has also been news to the contrary, whatever their standing, it remains that, now Pitt is single again and that a reconciliation with Aniston is not discredited.
The actor has also been getting his hands full with the upcoming July release of his movie Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.
