South Korean boy band Bangtan Boys, more widely known as BTS, keeps on making their fans' heart flutter. This time, the group's leader and rapper, RM (whose real name is Kim Nam Joon), revealed that most tracks of their newest album Map of the Soul: Persona is a tribute to their fan club called A.R.M.Y.

Earlier this week, RM went live on the live-video streaming giant, V Live, to talk about the story behind the boy band's latest album, Map of the Soul: Persona. He said the album's title, "persona," means the social facade of an individual.

"For me, persona is the social self," the 24-year-old rapper and songwriter said, as quoted by Hypable. "It represents our social mask. A mask could be either good or bad. It is what we present to the outside world as we lead our social and economic life," he added.

RM also goes into detail about how most tracks of Map of the Soul: Persona album is a tribute to their fan club. The tracks "Boy with Luv" featuring Halsey, "Mikrokosmos," "Make It Right," "Home" and "Jamais Vu" was BTS' way of expressing their gratitude and love towards A.R.M.Y.

Therefore, writing the lyrics for the said tracks came very organically to RM as those were the best and most beautiful words he can ever think of for the people who made them where they are now. He also thanked A.R.M.Y. for being there, and for their unwavering love and support since BTS' debut in 2013.

"Those tracks are our tribute to A.R.M.Y. or a serenade... Well, I can't think of better expressions," RM said. "[The tracks' lyrics are] the most honest things I could say to those I'm thankful to... I'm happy about how it turned out. I feel proud," he added.

It is not the first time BTS showed their sincere gratitude and love to A.R.M.Y. Back in 2016, the boy band dropped a new song, titled "I Know" performed by RM and Jungkook (whose real name is Jeon Jung Kook), as a thank you to their fans for their three-year anniversary.

BTS - RM, Jungkook, V (whose real name is Kim Tae Hyung), Jimin (whose real name is Park Ji Min), J-Hope (whose real name is Jung Ho Seok), Suga (whose real name is Min Yoon Gi) and Jin (whose real name is Kim Seok Jin) - also thanked their fans for making their dream come true at the 61st Annual Grammy Awards.
