Before he started his duties as a public servant, the ex-boyfriend of Suzy Bae said he was "heartbroken" that he would leave them for the obligatory service in the military. Min Ho said he wants his fans to stay healthy and expressed gratefulness for getting several opportunities before his enlistment.

It is still unclear what project Lee Min Ho would be doing soon. Rumors claimed that the ex-lover of Suzy Bae is likely to reunite with Park Shin Hye and Jun Ji Hyun. Speculations are rife that The Heirs 2 and The Legend of the Blue Sea 2 will be pushed through with Min Ho's return. However, Shin Hye made it clear that she might not be able to reunite with Min Ho in a project soon.
