Ice T (as Fin) will be reuniting with a friend in real life as rapper Snoop Dogg will guest star on Law & Order: SVU season 20 episode 22. The highly-awaited episode with the high-profile guest appearance is scheduled to air on NBC on Thursday, May 2.

In the teaser for Law & Order: SVU season 20 episode 22, Snoop Dogg is shown denying that he has done something bad as Olivia Benson (played by Mariska Hargitay) arrives at a recording studio to bring him to custody. The clip then cuts to Ice T's Fin, who utters, "It's real rough being rich," presumably during the investigation into Snoop Dogg's character at the precinct.

Law & Order: SVU season 20 episode 22 will cover the assault of a pop star allegedly by Snoop Dogg's character, who's a record producer, as per the episode synopsis. Things get heated when the pop star's husband (played by Orlando Jones) comes charging at Snoop Dogg, as seen in the teaser.

Like most of the stories on Law & Order: SVU, this one is apparently ripped from the headlines. Naturally, fans are psyched to see this episode, however, some have wondered which real-life story this was actually based from.

Ice T and Snoop Dogg are regarded as legends of Hip Hop. Both have collaborated in the past and also did movies like The Wrecking Crew and Urban Menace together.

Meanwhile, Law & Order: SVU season 20 is currently filming its finale episode in Westchester near Purchase College in New York, as per Daily Voice. The show's final run this season is expected to be another emotional ride for Benson, whose job might be on the line.

However, fans will still see Benson and Fin return for another season of Law & Order: SVU as NBC renewed the show for season 21 recently. There will be some changes to the upcoming season though as the production brought back Warren Leight as showrunner.

"We have a 'murderers' row' of writers and showrunners on our shows," show creator Dick Wolf said in a statement, as per TV Line. "What they do on a daily and weekly basis is mind-boggling. I'm thrilled that Warren is returning for the historic 21st season of SVU."

Leight was pulled out from Law & Order: SVU to work on another spinoff, Law & Order: Hate Crimes. However, NBC decided it will shelve this show for the time being thus Leight was free to return to his former series.
