Fans from the Internet and South Korean had commented on how BLACKPINK's Jennie is the only one who changes and does not repeat her concert outfits. Many fans found that during the power K-girl group's performance in Chicago, Newark, and Atlanta, Lisa, Rose, and Jisoo were wearing the same outfits or colors. However, Jennie stood out with a different outfit each time.

According to AllKPop, Jennie was the only one who wore different and unique outfits during the group's Asian Tour across Bangkok, Jakarta, Hong Kong, Singapore, Kuala Lumpur, and Taipei. Many are accusing YG Entertainment, the record label, and manager of the group, of bias towards the South Korean singer.

True enough, by the end of BLACKPINK's Asian tour, YG president Yang Hyun-Suk spoke out against accusations of favoritism in his successful Korean pop group. He said he wanted to highlight each member's talents and potential. In 2018, fans said it was too early for BLACKPINK to appear as solo artists because "it's only been three years since their debut" and that it was a ploy for YG "to play favorites with Jennie."

The fan meltdown and strong belief towards YG Entertainment's bias inflamed further after the November 2018 announcement of Jennie working on her solo debut, which will debut this year. During the American tour, the rancor of fans erupted once again seeing Jennie appear in unique and attractive outfits leaving Jisoo, Lisa, and Rose in the background.

BLACKPINK is South Korea's quickly-rising pop girl group and had taken the world by storm. Three years and a few months after their debut, they had won the 2019 Shorty Award for Best in Music and defeated Hollywood pop giants including Harry Styles and Post Malone. Also, each one of them had become guest artists in the songs of Ariana Grande, Black Eyed Peas, and even Skrillex.

The group is about to conclude their American tour, which followed after they became the first Korean group to debut as headliners in Coachella. The group has made nine songs throughout their career, with over half becoming chart toppers overnight such as "DDU-DU DDU-DU" and "Kill This Love." The latter's music video has reached 300 million views on YouTube within a month after it was uploaded.

Whether or not rumors of favoritism are true, it is highly likely YG Entertainment will not prioritize each BLACKPINK members' solo projects after the group's monumental achievements in less than five years. Stay tuned for more news about BLACKPINK!
